TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) - A former Toledo Public Schools basketball coach has been convicted of multiple sex crime charges involving a minor.

On Tuesday, a court found Tareem Warren guilty on five counts of criminal sexual conduct, three of which are felonies.

Warren is locked up in the Monroe County Jail while awaiting sentencing.

According to court documents, there was sexual assault with a juvenile between the age of 13 and 15 in Ida Township. The alleged offense in question dates to December 2020 through March 2021.

A spokesperson for TPS confirmed that Warren was employed with the district at that time.
