The City of Hyattsville Police Department confirmed on Nov. 20 that Cpl. Jonathan Monge was indicted by a Prince George's County grand jury on a host of sex abuse charges.
Specifically, Monge was charged with:
- Sexual abuse of a minor;

Monge, who has been with the department for five years, was placed on administrative leave without pay.
"The Department takes these charges extremely seriously and is fully cooperating with the Office of the State’s Attorney for Prince George’s County," officials said. "The Hyattsville Police Department is also conducting a separate internal administrative investigation"
