The former CEO of a powerhouse healthcare corporation whose career crashed amid fraud allegations, a prison stint, and a multibillion-dollar judgment says a law firm that played a major role in his cases was doing business with both sides.
Now Richard Scrushy, once one of the state’s most powerful business leaders, is back in court - this time suing Bradley Arant Boult Cummings law firm for malpractice and asking a judge to toss them off the case that saddled him with a $3.2 billion penalty.
