CLEVELAND — Cleveland’s lakefront is on the brink of a major transformation. With the Browns planning to leave downtown for Brook Park in 2029, city and waterfront leaders are moving quickly to reimagine how this space could serve the community — from parks to housing, entertainment and economic development.
Scott Skinner, president and executive director of the North Coast Waterfront Development Corporation, says the Browns’ impending departure opens up new possibilities — including a chance to take a master plan built around a stadium and rework it for the space.
"Things are happening. We are moving forward, and it's a really, really exciting time," Skinner said.
Skinners says much of the community feedback from that earlier plan will still shape what the lakefront becomes.
