MAYFLOWER, Ark. — On Thursday afternoon, officials with the Arkansas Department of Corrections announced that the escaped inmate , Wayne Schutz, was recaptured.
According to reports, Schutz, ADC #180381, was found just after noon on November 20, in a remote part of Faulkner County.
Earlier this week, on Tuesday, 25-year-old Schutz was found to be missing from his work release assignment from Prospect Steel at the Port of Little Rock.
Officials said that he could have possibly fled in a 2015 White Dodge pickup, with his license plate number reading: 1DYXN.
Schutz was being housed at the Benton Work Release Unit as he serves an eight-year sentence for breaking and entering in Faulkner County from 2023.
