Yoane Wissa isn't the only summer striker signing who has suffered a nightmare start to his Newcastle United career.
Georgian forward Vakhtang Salia is continuing to make progress in his recovery from a hamstring injury that is likely to keep him out of contention until January.
The 18-year-old agreed to join the Magpies from Dynamo Tbilisi in October 2024 before officially moving to Tyneside in August after scoring eight goals in 57 senior appearances for the Erovnuli Liga club.
However, he has been unable to show why Paul Mitchell & Co pursued him and brought him to the North East after suffering a bad hamstring tear.
