ALBANY, Ore. -- A man who ran over an Albany police officer last year during a traffic stop has been sentenced to more than 21 years in prison, according to Linn County Circuit Court records and the Albany Police Department.
Court records show that 45-year-old Derham Edward Mohamed was sentenced to 259 months with the Oregon Department of Corrections. Mohamed was convicted on charges that included second-degree assault, failure to perform duties of a driver to injured persons, and fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer, in addition to resisting arrest among other charges.
