A British man accused of causing a fatal crash while fleeing from police in Gloucester County was traveling at 86 mph in a 30 mph zone, according to details included with upgraded charges filed in the case.
George Linard , 24, ignored police efforts to pull him over and disregarded a red light before slamming into another vehicle on Nov. 9 in West Deptford Township, police said.
Jose M. Martinez , 42, of Lindenwold, was killed and others were seriously injured.
Linard appeared to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time of the crash, according to court documents. Authorities also said he had multiple fake identities, leading to confusion over his true name.
