Seventeen television productions, including a reboot of a 1990s hit series, will be receiving tax credits through California’s film and television incentive program, Governor Gavin Newsom’s office announced Thursday.
As “Baywatch” is among those set to be filmed in California, Los Angeles officials Thursday joined at the historic Venice Beach Lifeguard Operation Station where the series will be shot.

“Baywatch,” featuring David Hasselhoff and Pamela Anderson, was one of the most iconic, quintessentially Los Angeles shows, showcasing Southern California beaches.
