A 23-year-old federal firefighter in Norfolk has been reported missing, according to Tim Welsh, president of Tidewater Federal Firefighters Local F-25.

Pedro Aparicio, who lives in Elizabeth City, is a 5-foot-4 Hispanic man who weighs about 150 pounds, according to a social media post from the Pasquotank County, N.C., Sheriff’s Office.

He was last seen at home Monday night, then he did not show up to work on Tuesday, said Welsh. On Thursday, his parents filed a missing persons report. Aparicio has been a member of the Tidewater Federal Firefighters local union for the past eight months.
