The Madison Police Department launched a new pilot program in partnership with ConfirmOk, an automated daily check-in service aimed at enhancing community safety.

The program began with a limited number of local residents, with additional households placed on a wait-list. ConfirmOk allows participants to receive daily phone calls at their preferred time, requiring them to press “1 #” to confirm their safety. If a check-in is missed, the system attempts two more calls before notifying the Madison Police Department for a welfare check.
