MARICOPA COUNTY, Ariz. — A suspected "serial rapist" has been indicted on several more felony charges in Arizona after two women came forward with allegations against him.
Alex Bangash, 24, is now facing 29 counts of sexual assault, stalking, threatening, sexual abuse and kidnapping for incidents that allegedly occurred over the last few years, according to an indictment released Thursday by the Maricopa County Attorney's Office.
The defendant had initially been connected to the alleged sexual assaults of five women. After his arrest, Bangash was released from custody and fitted with an ankle monitor. Officials said Bangash cut off the monitor earlier this year and fled the state before he was found "living off the grid" in Texas.
