PORTLAND, Ore. - The Oregon Liquor & Cannabis Commission (OLCC) has announced new hemp product registration rules set to begin Jan. 1, 2026. These rules, part of House Bill 4121, require all cannabinoid hemp products sold in Oregon to be registered in a Hemp Registry.

OLCC Commission Chair Dennis Doherty highlighted the registry's benefits. "With the Hemp Registry, consumers will receive needed, clear information about the hemp products that they purchase," Doherty said. This includes details on CBD and THC content, boosting consumer trust.

The Hemp Registry demands accessible test results and proper labeling for edible hemp products, aligning them with standards for ordinary foods. Retailers can easily verify product registration for sale in Oregon.
