SPRINGFIELD, Ore. - Changes are coming to the schedule for the OR 126B Westbound Main Street Bridge closure, according to the Oregon Department of Transportation.
ODOT officials said that the full closure initially planned for Dec. 1, 2025, is now set to begin in early January 2026. ODOT shifted the timeline to avoid impacting holiday travel. This temporary closure will facilitate repairs, joint replacements, and the installation of a bike ramp. The east side will also see repaving work, state transportation officials said.
During the closure, traffic will be rerouted to the South A Street Bridge. A temporary connection will be available for westbound traffic, along with a new traffic pattern in the roundabout to ensure safety. Pedestrians and bicyclists can also use the South A Street B
