Iowa modernizes tax, alcohol, and lottery operations for residents

DES MOINES, Iowa — Iowa taxpayers and businesses can now benefit from a fully-integrated revenue system that simplifies tax, alcohol, and lottery operations. This modernization effort allows users to file taxes, obtain business licenses, and communicate with the Iowa Department of Revenue efficiently. The project, spanning five years, merged 22 legacy systems into one streamlined platform. New online services, including GovConnectIowa , enable secure task completion from any location. The State of Iowa says since inception, over 400,000 users have registered on GovConnectIowa, submitting more than 8.7 million web forms and over 40,000 messages.
