Londoner Bryan Lee O’Malley is among six Canadian graphic artists being celebrated on a new set of stamps Canada Post unveiled Wednesday in Montreal.
The collection highlights the work of some of the country’s most influential graphic novelists, placing O’Malley alongside Kate Beaton, Jimmy Beaulieu, Guy Delisle, Julie Doucet and Michael Nicoll Yahgulanaas.
“The six graphic novelists recognized in these stamps have all earned global acclaim for their works and continue a long line of Canadian artists and storytellers honoured by Canada Post,” said the Crown corporation in a statement.
The stamp series is the second half of a two-part collection celebrating Canadian graphic novelists and follows a collaborative model. For this release, each novelist partnered with Canada Post and Subpl
