WACO, Texas — Baylor Athletic Director Mack Rhoades has announced his decision to step away from the university, Baylor has announced.
Baylor said Rhoades' decision is "effective immediately."
Rhoades has served as Vice President and Director of Intercollegiate Athletics at Baylor since 2016, with the university winning multiple Big 12 championships and national titles during his tenure.
"While transitions like these are never easy, they provide an opportunity to reflect on the significant impact Mack has had on our University," Baylor President Dr. Linda A. Livingstone said in a statement. "Please join me in expressing heartfelt thanks to Mack for his years of dedicated service to Baylor. We pray for him, Amy and his family as they embark on this next chapter."
