DUPLIN COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) - A Mount Olive man accused of stealing political signs throughout Duplin County has been arrested.

Leonard Cherry Jr., 60, was charged with two counts of larceny and 11 counts of removing political signs.

Deputies say he was caught on camera last night loading his truck with various stolen political signs.

According to the sheriff’s office, Cherry did not target specific candidates.

He was taken to jail under a $11,000 secured bond.
