PHOENIX — A state employee resigned after an investigation by the U.S. Postal Inspector, according to officials with the Arizona Attorney General's Office, where she worked.

Vanessa Hickman resigned as the state government division chief on Monday, officials with the office said, after she was put on administrative leave last Thursday, officials said.

The state attorney general's office said Hickman was put on leave after it was contacted by the U.S. Postal Inspector about an investigation into Hickman. No details about the alleged crime or crimes were given.
