ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — The clean-up is underway nearly 48 hours after a gas explosion ripped the roof off of building “C” at the Northside Place Apartments.

And one day after being forced to close, Rosie’s Café located next door was back open with a tarp on the roof covering minor damage.

But for Deandrea Moore and others that call this place home, life is by no means back to normal again.

“It’s definitely crazy,” Moore said. “My windows are busted, my gas is off, my roof has a large crack in it from upstairs where water is leaking into the unit.”

Moore said she was not offered any help to relocate to another property and she’s not alone.

“I still have a roof on my building so that’s why they can’t help,” resident Royal Symone said. “They’re saying it’s still okay to live
