The Holiday film fans, take note.

Movie Nights with the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra presents The Holiday in Concert at the Orpheum Theatre on Dec. 4 and 5.

The special seasonal screening of the 2006 American romantic comedy includes the VSO performing award-winning composer Hans Zimmer’s score live.

Directed by Nancy Meyers, The Holiday tells the story of two lovelorn women who arrange a home exchange across the Atlantic Ocean to escape heartbreak over the Christmas season.

Kate Winslet plays Iris Simpkins, a reporter for the Daily Telegraph in England. Cameron Diaz plays Amanda Woods, owner of a film trailer company based in Los Angeles.
