EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - The Vanderburgh County Commissioners held a meeting this week to discuss safety and appearance concerns on North St. Joseph Avenue.

“We had to get some data first from the MPO (Metropolitan Planning Organization) and what we saw was that we have a speeding issue on St Joe. With the landfill being close by, trash being blown out from trucks that come and go through the landfill,” Vanderburgh County Commissioner Justin Elpers said.

At that meeting, the Vanderburgh County Commissioners and County Council made requests to the Sheriff’s Office to improve the safety and appearance along the busy road.
