SAN SABA COUNTY, Texas — Heavy rains in Central Texas could cause flash flooding concerns in San Saba County, according to County Judge Jody Fauley.

Fauley said on social media that he has met with the City of San Saba, the San Saba County Sheriff's Office and the Texas Division of Emergency Management, and said forecast models predict that an additional 2 to 4 inches of rain are expected to fall throughout the night, which could create flash flooding in low water areas.

The Menard area saw around nine inches of rain over the course of Nov. 20, according to Fauley, which has caused the San Saba River to rise in Menard.
