SNOOK, Texas (KBTX) - Snook High School senior Marissa Batiste has been named the latest KBTX Classroom Champion, recognizing her academic excellence and leadership achievements.

Batiste maintains a 5.17 grade point average and ranks fourth in her class. She is a member of the student council, National Honor Society, and has been on the A/B honor roll throughout high school.

Beyond academics, Batiste participates in Future Farmers of America, 4H club, and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

Batiste competes on the volleyball, track and field, and softball teams for the Lady Jays. She has been named MVP in volleyball and catcher of the year in softball.
