BESSEMER, Ala. —
A man was killed in a vehicle collision while riding a bicycle.
The Jefferson County Coroner's Medical Examiner's Office said Christopher Jenkins, 36, of Bessemer, was riding a bike on Fairfax Avenue Wednesday about 6 p.m.
A vehicle struck Jenkins from behind.
The coroner's office said the driver stopped and stayed at the scene, while reporting the incident to police.
Jenkins died at the scene.
The Bessemer Police Department is investigating.
