HOMEDALE, Idaho — An Idaho drone company is turning an old idea, fighting bugs with bugs, into a high-tech tool for farmers.
Inside a Homedale office, Mason Hintze is mapping fields and planning flights. It might seem like a typical office job, but stepping into the garage reveals that farming looks more futuristic.
"We are an Ag company focused on agriculture and finding a variety of uses in which drones can be used," said Mason Hintze. "Some of those uses are just standard imagery collection to help growers, farmers, and the agronomists that we work with make more informed decisions about either timing or important things like crop health and stress. "
Hintze is a drone pilot for Terravata, and he is the one who takes the drone out, locks the propellers, and guides it, nearly the size
