The city of Nampa is increasing its domestic water and irrigation water utility rates for residents.

The new domestic water rate will become effective Feb. 1, 2026. The new irrigation water utility rate will become effective March 1, 2026.

DOMESTIC WATER UTILITY RATE

The change is a 10% increase on residents’ monthly bills. While any added cost during this day and age isn’t a welcomed one, Nampa City Council and Mayor Debbie Kling say it must be done.

The city has “kicked the can” too many times, as several city council members and Kling said on Monday night at the Nampa City Council meeting. The domestic water utility increase received a 4-3 vote, with Kling the deciding vote.
