AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - Two CSRA girls flag football programs will have plenty of homefield advantage in the playoffs.
Thursday night, Washington-Wilkes took down Jefferson County 13-0 to win the Division 1 Area 6 crown.
For the record, this is the first year that Washington-Wilkes has had a girls flag football program.
The school was one of several across Georgia to receive a grant from the Arthur M. Blank Foundation back in May.
The grant was used to help schools get a program on its feet, and the Tigers are already capitalizing in year one.
