VIRGINIA — Dylan Wenshau scored Brainerd's first goal of the season as the Warriors lost their season opener 6-3 to the Rock Ridge Wolverines Thursday, Nov. 20.

Brainerd scored all three of its goals in the third period as Kellen Ellingson and Axton Peterson scored goals after Wenshau’s tally. Brainerd’s Mike Hagelie, Ace Schindler, Zander Peterson and Rich Pyle recorded assists.

Griffin Bartholomaus stopped 26 shots in net for Brainerd.
