S haring photos, videos and documents between Android and iPhone users is about to get much easier. Google on Thursday announced that Quick Share will now work with Apple’s AirDrop, enabling smooth file transfers across the two platforms.
The feature is rolling out first to the Pixel 10 family , with broader Android support planned in the coming months.
Google said the new interoperability was built with “security at its core,” adding that the system was evaluated by independent security experts. The move follows ongoing efforts to improve cross-platform compatibility, including support for RCS messaging and alerts for unknown Bluetooth trackers.
“Sharing should just work,” the company said, noting that many users have long demanded a simpler way to exchange files across devices.
