A top leader within the Arizona Attorney General's Office stands accused of stealing — and then selling — thousands of dollars in jewelry that was wrongly delivered to her home.
Vanessa Hickman, who was division chief of the attorney general's state government division, was arrested by United States Postal Service Inspectors Nov. 19, according to a spokesperson for the agency. The 49-year-old was accused of trafficking stolen property and theft ― both felonies. The arrest was first reported by the Phoenix New Times.
