CLEVELAND — The mother of a Cuyahoga County boy has filed a lawsuit against the popular online gaming platform Roblox, claiming he was targeted on the site by sexual predators when he was just 11 years old.
The complaint, filed in Northern California U.S. District Court (where Roblox is headquartered), claims the boy was groomed on Roblox by a man posing as a child. It marks the latest in a number of lawsuits that claim the company puts profits above the safety of minors.
"The general issue in all of these cases against Roblox — and there's quite a few of them — is the sexual predation of minors, and you have adults masquerading as children," Matthew Dolman, the lead attorney representing the family in this case, told 3News Investigates.
