BEDFORD, Ohio — A Bedford City School District board meeting drew a packed crowd Thursday night as parents demanded answers about why several high school staff members were placed on administrative leave earlier this month.

The meeting followed a student walkout last week, where more than 150 Bedford High School students protested what they described as the district's lack of transparency. During public comment, parents pressed district leaders for details surrounding what has been described as "serious misconduct."

Superintendent Dr. Cassandra Johnson addressed the crowd, but said she was advised by legal counsel not to share specifics due to the ongoing investigation.
