UPDATE: The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) confirmed that it is responding to a death investigation at a home in the 400 block of Mail Loop Road in Marion County Thursday night.

The investigation was requested by 12th Judicial District Attorney Courtney Lynch.

TBI says the investigation is in its early stages and remains active and ongoing right now.

PREVIOUS STORY: The New Hope Police Department is asking residents to avoid the 400 block of Mail Loop Road in Marion County as officers conduct an active investigation.

Authorities have not released details about the incident, but say the area should be avoided while they work.
