WASHINGTON — Shata Traders Inc. is recalling Chef Brand milk pans because they may contain significant levels of lead that could leach into food, the Food and Drug Administration announced Tuesday.
The recall affects 24-centimeter milk pans sold under the Majestic Chef Pan brand name. The products were distributed in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Maryland, Virginia and Massachusetts.
The Brooklyn-based company issued the recall after FDA testing found the cookware contains leachable lead harmful to human consumption. The products are distributed in six-piece boxes and available individually at retail stores.
