FAYETTE COUNTY, Ky. - The Right Size, Bright Future Committee for Fayette County Public Schools held their second meeting Thursday night with a packed house of advocates, parents and teachers watching their work.
The meeting focused on the best use of three facilities within the district. Committee members weighed whether to house both Rise Stem Academy for Girls and George Washington Carver Stem Academy for Boys under one roof.
The group also considered whether to cancel the building contract for the stables program.
Sarah Flood-Baumann joined other Rise mothers to hold the committee accountable for their actions.
“I want a roundtable where both schools - boy and girl schools have a seat at that table,” Flood-Baumann said.
