It was a night of glitz, glamour and oaked chardonnay as satirist Belinda Gread skewered out-of-touch politicians in her web series, The Road to Canberra .
Gread was at the Australian Centre for the Moving Image (ACMI), in Melbourne's Federation Square, on the evening of November 20 for the premiere of the final episode in the series.
The show followed the fictional senator as she condemned "woke" nonsense at a members-only golf club, supported protesters in the March For Australia, and taste-tested regional Victoria's best beef pies.
Speaking to the audience, Gread said she "didn't take the easy road to Canberra, like everyone else does".
