GLENDALE, Ariz. — A trip to the hospital isn't usually something people look forward to. However, one four-legged friend, named Cowboy, is helping change that.
"He just got his therapy certification about 3-4 months ago," Raymond Mushier said.
Mushier is Cowboy's owner. He's been volunteering with therapy dogs for many years and recently started taking the three-year-old Standard Poodle with him to Abrazo Arrowhead Medical Campus.
"Cowboy has a good soul," he said. "We know for a fact we're his fourth owner. We got him from a couple who had to get rid of him. When I got him, after the first week, I knew he was going to be a good therapy dog because of how he greets people. He's good around other dogs, and he wants to meet people and wants to be petted."
