DALLAS, Texas (KBTX) - The Iola Bulldogs are the 2025 2A Division II state champions. Iola swept Crawford 3-0 (25-23, 25-16, 25-12) on Thursday night at the Curtis Culwell Center.
“I think going in, both teams were a little nervous, and we got in a timeout between games, and we knew, if we could just get our game together and clean up our passing a little bit and get our hitters going, that we could win,” Iola head volleyball coach Jamie McDougald said.
This was the third straight year, the fifth in the past nine years, that Iola and Crawford have faced each other in the title game.
This is Iola’s fifth state championship since 2015.
