ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — College Park is looking for a new city manager once again after council members voted to fire Lindell Miller on Monday night.
Miller, who was officially hired in September, was abruptly fired during the city council meeting with a 3-1 vote. Miller is the fourth city manager to be ousted from the role since 2022.
“I make a motion to terminate the contract of Lindell Miller and to appoint Mr. Michael Hicks as our interim city manager, effective immediately,“ Councilman Joe Carn said.
“That wasn’t on the agenda,” Mayor Bianca Motley Broom replied. But the vote took place nonetheless, with Councilman Roderick Gay as the sole vote against firing Miller.
Miller was seen quietly gathering her things and walking out as the council voted.
