The Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the much-discussed Dharmasthala mass burial case submitted its investigation report to the Beltangady court on Thursday. The SIT has now named six individuals, including the original complainants Chinnayya and Mahesh Shetty Timarodi—who have now turned accused—under Section 215 for providing false evidence.

According to SIT officials, the six accused in the case are:

Chinnayya (currently in jail), Mahesh Shetty Timarodi, Girish Mattannavar, Jayanth T., Vittal Gowda, and Sujatha Bhatt. The SIT investigation officer Jitendra Kumar Dayama, along with his team, submitted the ‘false evidence’ report under Section 215 before Vijayendra H.T., Additional Civil Judge, Beltangady, at around 3:15 pm today.
