New Delhi: Pakistan has made a big change in its Afghanistan policy and delivered what officials describe as a “final warning” to the Afghan Taliban. According to top diplomatic and intelligence sources, Islamabad has told the Taliban leadership that they must choose one of two paths.
Either they start to work with Pakistan and accept its security demands, or Pakistan will start supporting other political groups that would create problems for Taliban’s rule in Kabul.
Sources say this strong message was delivered through Turkish mediators after months of talks between Pakistan and the Taliban failed to make progress.
