New Delhi: OpenAI has enhanced the security of ChatGPT by adding crisis helplines in the United States that are localised. The update is scheduled to be implemented in collaboration with the global crisis support organisation ThroughLine and is expected to allow the user to access the professional help right after being affected by an emotional or mental crisis. The feature is available within ChatGPT and Sora and links users to support options upon a single tap.
The project is based on the existing crisis-response tools of the OpenAI, but they are more location-specific and personalised. According to the company, the idea is to ensure that expert assistance is more accessible, particularly when the user can feel lost or threatened.
