The former leader of Reform UK and UKIP in Wales and a former Member of the European Parliament is due to be sentenced today for taking bribes to make pro-Russian statements on Ukrainian television. He also made pro-Russian statements in the European Parliament in exchange for cash.
Nathan Gill, 52, served as leader of Reform UK Wales for less than two months in 2021, and was leader of UKIP Wales between December, 2014, and 2016.
He served as a Member of the European Parliament representing Wales between 2014 and 2020, and as a Member of the Assembly or AM (now called Member of the Senedd or MS) for North Wales, between 2016 and 2017.
