A Class 11 student of a private school in Madhya Pradesh's Rewa district allegedly died by suicide and left a note, accusing her teacher of torturing her, police said on Friday.

The 17-year-old victim was found hanging at her home on November 16, Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Aarti Singh said, adding that police found a handwritten note in her notebook.

In the note, the victim mentioned that her teacher held her hand while hitting her and challenged her to open his closed fist. She alleged that the teacher pressed a pen between her fingers under the pretext of punishment.

The student claimed that the teacher would casually grab her hand while she was sitting on the bench and told her how his hand was cold.

Her family said she was perfectly normal at home. They alleged that
