A UK seaside district that has been described as "run down" is set to receive a £ 1.5 million boost over two years from the Government's Pride in Place impact fund. The cash could be used to deliver two broader projects in Thanet, Kent - the Margate Town Deal and the Plan for Neighbourhoods programme, encompassing Ramsgate, officials say.
