UF most recently defeated rival Miami 82-68, while Merrimack (2-3) came away with a 72-65 win over Maine. The Warriors are led by Ernest Shelton, who has averaged 21 points and 3.4 rebounds per game.
Florida and Merrimack meet for the second time in program history as the Gators welcome the Warriors for the second time in three seasons. Florida won the only previous meeting by 20 after taking a one-point deficit into halftime.
Florida has four players averaging 8.5 or more rebounds per game. Only two other teams in the nation have two players at that mark, which are Presbyterian and Robert Morris.
