Snowy conditions continue to disrupt Scotland, especially in the northern regions, with many schools either delaying their start times or closing for the day today (Friday 21 November). The yellow weather warning remains in effect in the north as snow and ice continues.
This marks the fourth consecutive day of the yellow warning for snow and ice, covering a vast area from central Scotland up to Shetland, including Aberdeenshire in the east and the Outer Hebrides off the west coast.
According to the Met Office, temperatures of -11C were recorded in Loch Glascarnoch in the Scottish Highlands overnight, with the mercury dipping below minus 7C across much of the country.
