I’ve written on boycotting Thanksgiving before. This was to protest stores being open on Thanksgiving Day.

I could write the same about Christmas, but in recent years more stores close on the latter than the former. So instead, I want to encourage you to extend the Thanksgiving holiday. Before our Halloween candy even has a fighting chance to rot our teeth, we’re buying Christmas candy and have moved on past Thanksgiving.

Let’s keep the gratitude going! I’m sure it will put you in the much-longed-for “Christmas spirit” as well as anything.
