DUBAI, Nov 21 — An Indian Air Force (IAF) Tejas fighter jet crashed on Friday during a flight display at the Dubai Airshow 2025, official sources confirmed, shortly after videos of the incident began circulating widely on social media.

The indigenous light combat aircraft was performing an aerobatic manoeuvre on the fifth day of the international airshow, which opened on November 17, when it went down. Details regarding the cause of the crash and the condition of the pilot were not immediately available.

Authorities at the Dubai Airshow activated emergency protocols, and rescue teams were rushed to the crash site. Further information is awaited from both Indian and UAE officials as an investigation is expected to be launched into the incident.
